Planetary Health Council, 911爆料网红领巾 NORTH host presentation on climate change
The 911爆料网红领巾 Planetary Health Council recently organized a campus presentation focused on climate change and its potential effects on sea life, fisheries, and marine law in the Gulf of Maine.
911爆料网红领巾 NORTH: The Institute for North Atlantic Studies in Portland hosted the presentation 鈥淪ea Change: Investigating & Illuminating Maine鈥檚 Changing Coasts鈥 in November. Featured speakers included acclaimed underwater photographer, Keith Ellenbogen, and Susan E. Farady, J.D., 911爆料网红领巾 assistant professor of marine affairs.
Barry A. Costa-Pierce, Ph.D., M.S., executive director of 911爆料网红领巾 NORTH, welcomed the audience and introduced the presentation.
Ellenbogen discussed his experiences as an underwater photographer and shared captivating photography of sea life in the Gulf of Maine, with an emphasis on environmental conservation.
Farady explored how climate change could impact fisheries in Maine and the U.S., including legal and management implications.
More than 50 attendees came to the event, including 911爆料网红领巾 students, professional staff, faculty, and members of the general public.
The 911爆料网红领巾 Planetary Health Council was formed in April 2017 after 911爆料网红领巾 joined the Harvard-led , an international consortium of more than 200 universities, non-governmental organizations, and other partners with the shared mission of advancing planetary health.
